Hey there,
I’m Joe Bunting, and earlier this month, my wife Talia and I took our three kids to Bordeaux France.
We’ve already been on so many adventures (pictures below!). We’ve been to the Fête du Vin, the biggest wine festival in the world. We’ve see the parade of ships down the Gironde for the Fête de Ships. We’ve had picnics at the Public Gardens and ran through the water at Mirroir D’eau.
In short, it’s been an amazing adventure!
And now, we need your help choosing what to do next. Whatever gets the most votes, we’ll share the story about it here on crowdsourceadventure.com and Instagram (@crowdsourceadventure).
Here are your choices:
- WINE ADVENTURE. Bordeaux is home to the some of the best wine in the world! Vote for this adventure if you want us to rent a car, tour vineyards recommended by a master sommelier, and do our best to meet all the winemakers!
- FAMILY ADVENTURE. Not far from Bordeaux is the Great Dune of Pilat, the highest sand dune in Europe! Sounds like the perfect adventure for Mars and Remy, our two sons! Vote for this adventure if you want us to board a train for Arcachon, grab some oysters, and then roll down a dune!
- FOOD ADVENTURE. Bordeaux has a burgeoning food scene filled with some of the best chefs in France, many of whom have escaped Paris for a quieter way of life. Vote for this adventure if you love food as much as we do and want us to go to La Grande Maison, a two-star Michellin Restaurant, and then share all of our tasting notes and foodstagrams.

Whatever adventure gets the most votes, Talia and I will have to write a bout it. No promises we won’t do ALL of these adventures though (they sound pretty great, right?).
About the Adventurers
Four years ago, Joe and Talia Bunting sold everything they owned to have an adventure in Paris. Now they’re back in France as a family of five, ready for a new adventure.

Family Adventure. We did the wine touring. It’s mostly white and sweet, now carry one. Family Adventures are the best. Silver voted on here too so this is two votes.

I agree with the ever wise Tom Davis. You’re in Bordeaux. That’s the name of a wine. I vote wine.

I learned today that while Americans have trended upward in wine consumption from 2 to 3 gallons per capita, the same statistic for the French is 11 gallons per capita. I think you should explore why this is so. Wine Adventure.
I saw that in the wine museum! Part of it I think is they have really good wine, the other part is how inexpensive it is! They also spend MUCH more on food as a percentage of their income.
I vote Family! And I think everyone should roll down a dune 🙂
